In the journal ALITInform No. 2(79) 2025, a review article by A.V. Vysokin, Lead Engineer of JSC Research Center “Construction”, and S.V. Vysokin, Engineer of LLC “Reinforced Concrete Tomography”, was published on the topic: “Determination of Hidden Defects in the Internal Structure of Concrete and Reinforcement Parameters of Reinforced Concrete Structures by Ultrasonic Pulse-Echo Method.” 

The article examines the main types of hidden defects in the internal structure of concrete in reinforced concrete structures and analyzes their impact on load-bearing capacity and durability. It presents the reinforcement parameters of reinforced concrete structures that are determined during production quality control and technical inspection. 

The method for determining the presence of hidden defects in the internal concrete structure and reinforcement parameters of reinforced concrete structures using the ultrasonic pulse-echo method is described, along with its capabilities, applicability boundaries, and limitations.
